Overview

This article describes the contents of the version 8442 SnapHire product release. 

  • This version is available for general release from the 4th April 2016.  
  • For your information, this release also incorporates the changes that were included in the limited release of version 8441.


This article includes the following:

  • Document Generator - Fix for an issue that some job seekers were experiencing when trying to access a document via a link.
  • Bulk Print - Fix for an issue that some users were experiencing when attempting to generate documents.
  • Saved Job Search - Fix for an issue that processing agency users were experiencing when trying to set their default job searches. 


Document Generator fix

In this version we have fixed the issue some job seekers were experiencing when trying to access a document (created by the Document Generator feature) via a link they have been emailed.  For your information, in version 8440 we enhanced the way documents generated by the Document Generator could be emailed from SnapHire - this change meant that email action could either:

  • Continue to send the document generated as a file attachment, or 
  • Now send a link to the document held within SnapHire (the recipient needs to login to SnapHire, if not already logged in, to view the document).


Bulk Print fix

In this version we have fixed the issue some users were experiencing when attempting to generate documents using the Bulk Print feature. The Bulk Print feature was failing to generate documents which included Microsoft special characters (e.g. Microsoft hyphens).  Now SnapHire automatically replaces any Microsoft special characters with regular characters (e.g. replaces Microsoft hyphen with a standard hyphen) before sending the file to the Bulk Print generator.


Saved Job Search fix

In this version we have fixed the issue processing agency users were experiencing when trying to select one of their saved job searches as their default job searches in the Account tab.
