The full range of duplicate candidate-related icons can be seen in the candidate legend (which appears whenever you are looking at a list of candidates). They are:

Each of the icons and what it means is detailed in this table:

ICONLABELMEANS THAT
Duplicates may existSnapHire has detected that more than one candidate profile is an exact match for their first name AND last name fields, and has therefore automatically applied the 'duplicates may exist' icon to alert you.

- You can click on the icon to view more information about the duplicates that may exist (unless you are in the Manage duplicates function, where this icon is not clickable).

TIP:  If your organization has had the 'Manage duplicates' feature configured on your site, the 'duplicates may exist' icon will continue to be applied to either master and/or subordinate candidate profiles if there is a match. Learn more about the Manage duplicates function.
Master profileIn the past, a recruiter has reviewed two or more profiles that appeared to be for the same person.  After reviewing the recruiter has confirmed that they are for the same person, and used the 'LINK' button to link the duplicate profiles together.

- When linking the profiles the recruiter has indicated that this profile is the master profile - that is, it is the profile that will be used going forward (it is the master to all of the other subordinate profiles for this person).
- You can click on the icon to view a list of candidate profiles that are linked to this profile (unless you are in the Manage duplicates function, where this icon is not clickable) - the master is displayed first with the subordinate profiles indented under it.

TIP: This can be undone using the 'UNLINK' button.
Subordinate profile

In the past, a recruiter has reviewed two or more profiles that appeared to be for the same person.  After reviewing the recruiter has confirmed that they are for the same person, and used the 'LINK' button to link the duplicate profiles together.

- When linking the profiles the recruiter has indicated that this profile is a subordinate profile - that is, it is NOT the master profile that will be used going forward (it is a subordinate profile to the master). Please note that as soon as a candidate profile has been marked as subordinate, their activity (or agency on their behalf) when signed into the careers site has limitations.
- You can click on the icon to view a list of candidate profiles that are linked to this profile (unless you are in the Manage duplicates function, where this icon is not clickable) - the master is displayed first with the subordinate profiles indented under it.

TIP: This can be undone using the 'UNLINK' button.
Not duplicate profileIn the past, a recruiter has reviewed two or more profiles that appeared to be for the same person.  After reviewing the recruiter has confirmed that they are different people and that whilst they may appear similar they are not duplicates, and used the APPLY 'NOT DUPLICATE PROFILE' button to indicate this.

- The icon is applied to the two or more candidate profiles selected when the recruiter uses the APPLY 'NOT DUPLICATE PROFILE' button.
- You can click on the icon to view a list of the candidate's profiles that were reviewed and had the icon applied at the same time (unless you are in the Manage duplicates function, where this icon is not clickable).

TIP: This can be undone using the REMOVE 'NOT DUPLICATE PROFILE' button.
