Overview

In the 'Manage duplicate' screen, you can use the 'Unlink' button when two or more profiles have previously been linked together and:

  • you need to unlink one or all of them, or
  • you need to change which one of the profiles linked together is the master profile.

Using the 'Unlink' button

To unlink one or more profiles from a group:

  1. When viewing one of the candidates who is linked into the group, click on the 'Master profile' or 'Subordinate profile' icon next to their name.
  2. The manage duplicates screen will appear with all of the candidates who are linked together displayed.  The master candidate profile will be at the top with the subordinate profiles below it.
  3. Select the candidate profile(s) you wish to unlink from the group.  Please note that if you unlink a 'Master profile' then all of its 'Subordinate profiles' will also be unlinked (i.e. the entire group will no longer be linked), you can then re-link any other profiles again if required.
  4. Click the Unlink button.
  5. Your actions will be recorded in the candidate history section for all candidate profiles changed. You can click on the history item link and see more information:
    • On the Master profile you will see: <Recruiter name> has made the following job seeker(s) no longer a 'Subordinate profile(s)' of this job seeker <Subordinate profiles>
    • On the subordinate profile(s) you will see: <Recruiter name> has made this job seeker no longer a 'Subordinate profile' of <Master profile>
  6. The screen will update and the candidate profile(s) you selected to unlink will no longer be linked, and will not be under the master profile anymore.  Please note that the order of the candidates' profiles in this list might have changed after the unlinking  - they will be returned to sorting on the 'Last signs of life' column (with the newest date at the top).

TIP:  After unlinking, the 'duplicates may exist' icon may appear again next to some of the candidate's profiles.
