Overview

This article describes the contents of the version 8483 SnapHire product release.  This version is available for general release from 22 August 2018.

Details

This release includes:

Improved mobile device experience

In this release, we have taken a huge step forward in the ability for SnapHire to used by recruiter and manager users on mobile devices.

When viewing on a mobile device improvements include:

  • Menu displays as a ‘hamburger’ menu
  • Users can scroll through tabs, menu items and workflow buckets, that move independently from the rest of the page content
  • Information normally displayed to the right of the page on a desktop, is displayed underneath the main content to ensure all content is readable.

There are still some areas that do not respond well on mobile devices (e.g. the job wizard, screens to generate a document using document generator etc). With this in mind we don't recommend you encourage all your users to begin using mobile devices as their primary SnapHire device.

Over the coming months we will continue to improve and refine the SnapHire mobile user experience and we would love your feedback ([email protected]) if you do occasionally login via your mobile device.

Updates to SnapHire look and feel

This group of changes are updates to the SnapHire and look and feel that were made in version 8481:

  • Fix to include the right hand side application information when printing the application details page
  • Improvement to the formatting of the screen that displays when a job template is applied to an existing job
  • Fix to ensure the child job title (not the pipeline job title) is displayed when viewing a child job

Update to subscribe to job alerts text

We’ve added new auto-unsubscribe text for job seekers. There are two main areas this text is visible to job seekers:

1. On the ‘Profile’ tab of the registration / application form:

2. When viewing the ‘My details’ tab:

Fix to Trademe logo selection

We’ve fixed an issue which was experienced by clients posting from SnapHire to Trademe. Selecting 'Yes' to branding, then selecting a logo wasn't sending the logo through to Trademe. Now selecting a logo sends the selected logo through to Trademe to display.

Support tab update

We have updated our Client Success email address to [email protected] on the ‘Support’ tab within SnapHire.

Administration changes

In this release we've also made some administration changes.  These will not impact you directly, but we know some clients will be interested to know about them:

  • Improved security: We can now restrict the versions of the TLS protocol that are supported on a site by site basis.
