This article describes the contents of the version 8482 SnapHire product release.  This version is available for general release from 20th August 2018.

This release includes:


Updates to SnapHire look and feel

This group of changes are updates to the SnapHire and look and feel that were made in version 8481:

  • Improved the contrast between the numbers indicating the number of applications, and the '0's indicating no candidate's in a bucket in the job list view
  • Improved column ratios between job details and buckets in job list view
  • Increased the job title font size in job list view
  • Fix to ensure job wizard tab name wrap where appropriate


Fix to display Home button for sourcing agency users

We've fixed an issue which was experienced by clients who had enabled the Talent App Store with their SnapHire site. This affected the 'Home' button displaying to sourcing agency users. Now the 'Home' button will display allowing the sourcing agency user to navigate to the home page. 


Security improvement for updating user's password

In this release, we have improved a security issue whereby a user could change their password via the Account tab without verifying original credentials. The password fields have been replaced with instruction text on how to reset your password: 


Password set/reset changes for sourcing agency users

Due to security improvements, the way passwords are set and reset have changed for clients who have enabled the Talent App Store with their SnapHire site. In this release, sourcing agency users will receive an email when their account is created which includes a link to the sign in screen where they can use the "Forgot password?" link to set their password securely. Upon the 8482 upgrade, the new sourcing agency user email wording will be updated to reflect this change. Sourcing agency users can also change their password while logged in to the agency portal.

In this release, you will see any formatting you have applied to your signature as html tags.


Administration changes

In this release, we've also made some administration changes.  These will not impact you directly, but we know some clients will be interested to know about them:
  • Fix to column display: Fix for an issue introduced in version 8481 which impacted display of information for administration users when using the data fields tab of the action setup screen.
  • Category manager: In this release, we've fixed an issue which impacted administration users when trying to delete category values. 
  • Category manager: In this release, we have have fixed an issue which impacted display of information for administration users when using the category manager screen. Images associated with category values now display correctly.
  • Improved security: In line with our continued focus on security, we've made various changes to keep up with current best practice.
