Overview

When the Total Apply app is installed there are some general (non job related) buttons that are provided by the Total Apply app for use on a careers site, and are managed via the General actions menu in the SwitchGear app.  This article includes:


'SIGNIN' button

Candidate experience       
  • To users managing this button in SwitchGear, the button is called 'SIGNIN'.
  • When they click on the button, no description or further information is provided.
  • To a candidate who is NOT signed in, this button will be visible on all pages of the careers site.
  • To candidates this button is called 'SIGN IN'.
  • When the candidate clicks this button, the identity selection panel is presented and the candidate can choose their sign in method (to sign into the app/system Total Apply is linked to).
  • If an existing candidate:
    • When they have completed the sign-in process they are returned to the page they were on when they clicked the 'SIGN IN' button.
  • If a new candidate (i.e does not exist in the app/system Total Apply is linked to) clicks this button:
    • When they have completed the sign-in process they are taken directly to the Total Apply Register form.  Please note at this time they are signed into the session but no profile has yet been created in the app/system Total Apply is linked.
    • If the candidate completes and submits the Register form, their profile is created in the app/system Total Apply is linked to.
    • If the candidate does not submit the Register form, and goes to another page on the careers site then the 'CREATE PROFILE' button will be visible.  Please refer to the 'SIGNUP' button below.


'SIGNUP' button

  • To users managing this button in SwitchGear, the button is called 'SIGNUP'.
  • When they click on the button, no description or further information is provided.
  • If a new candidate who does not exist in the app/system Total Apply is linked to has clicked the 'SIGN-IN' button (above), but not completed/submitted the Total Apply Register form, this button will be visible on all pages of the careers site.
  • To candidates this button is called 'CREATE PROFILE'.
  • When they click on the button, they TolalApply Register form is presented.


'EDIT-DETAILS' button

  • To users managing this button in SwitchGear, the button is called 'EDIT-DETAILS'.
  • When they click on the button, no description or further information is provided.
  • When an existing candidate (i.e. who has a profile in the app/system Total Apply is linked to) is sign in to the careers site, this button will be visible on the My details page (or similar) of the careers site.
  • To candidates this button is called 'EDIT MY DETAILS'.
  • When they click on the button, the Total Apply Update Profile form is presented.
