Overview

This article describes the contents of the version 8453 SnapHire product release.  This version is available for general release from 27 March 2017 and includes:

Improvements to administering job seeker internal recognition by IP address

In this version we have changed the IP address format that SnapHire can use with regards to job seeker internal recognition (changing from the net mask syntax to the CIDR format).

We have made this change to make these addresses easier to administer as the CIDR format means that all subnets of an IP address can be included automatically by simply adding '/32" (a number from 1 to 32) to the end of the IP address.  For example the administrator could enter 103.226.114.94/32 instead of having to enter both of '103.226.114.94' and '103.226.114.94/255.255.255.255'.

Performance improvements

  1. Job template flag column in database:  In this version we've made some improvements to the way job templates are indexed in our database.  This change should improve performance for all sites when a new job is being created (even if you don't use template jobs).
  2. Unlisted key column in database:  In this version we've made some improvements to this column in our database. This change should improve performance across a number of areas in SnapHire.

Administration changes

In this release we've also made some administration changes.  These changes won't impact you directly, but we thought you might like to know about them just the same:

  1. Code column in database:  In this version we've made some changes to the labels this column uses in our database. This change will not change the performance in any way, but brings the area up to our current naming standards.
